Major issues are hitting some broadband users this morning in North Wales.

Update 10:30am: Going by our router and various tweets / messages to us it appears the problem is being fixed, as the internet is back working!

Update 9:43am: Sky say “Engineers have identified the cause of the issue and replacement equipment is being sourced.”

Original information…

Issues were first reported just before 6am, with both ADSL and FTTC products from Sky affected.

The official notice from Sky reads: “Broadband and Talk problems in North Wales You might not be able to get online or make/receive phone calls due to a problem in your local area.”

“We’re working on fixing the problem and we’ll provide an update on this page once we’ve discovered what is causing the fault. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”

Fibre products are also affected: “Fibre Broadband problems in North Wales You might not be able to get online at the moment due to a problem in your local area. Our technical teams are working hard to fix the problem and we will provide an update on progress soon. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
