The Brexit Party have today unveiled its prospective parliamentary candidate for Wrexham.

Nathan Gill has been selected by the party to stand in any forthcoming general election.

Over the past week The Brexit Party have announced more than 150 prospective candidates in a drip feed via their twitter feed.

This evening it was Wrexham’s turn, with the following announcement and graphic tweeted:

Mr Gill will be a familiar name, as he was elected as a UKIP AM and then declaring himself Independent, and then resigning as an Assembly Member.

Mr Gill is currently a Member of the European Parliament for the Wales ‘region’ for The Brexit Party.

Back in May 2019 the Brexit Party topped the Wrexham Vote during the EU Elections, with 12,078 votes.

Three years ago in the referendum 41,544 local people voted to leave the EU and 28,822 voting to remain part of it – with a whacking 71.6% turnout.
