Bradley Road has reopened both ways for motorists – following two weeks works in the area.

The road closed on the 20th April after a damaged gas pipe in the area was found to be leaking, which was fixed by the 27th – and the road reopening one way, with the original works continuing .

As a result of the roadworks there were temporary delays for motorists – however that all climaxed on Monday 25th April when Wrexham experienced some of the ‘worst traffic‘ in years due to the temporary closure of Watery Road.

The roadworks caused long delays for motorists with traffic backing up around the B&Q Roundabout, down Mold Road and the A483. Those travelling into Wrexham from Rhostyllen and Southsea were also hit by the delays – causing delays of up to 90 minutes for some motorists.

Later that day Wrexham’s very own ‘geyser‘ erupted on Watery Road – with a water pipe located underneath a gas pipe being ‘inadvertently damaged’.

However both issues were quickly resolved, with the temporary traffic lights near Watery Road removed and the burst water pipe being repaired. Watery Road also reopened to motorists the next day.

Last week Bradley Road reopened one way, however it appears to be good news for motorists, with Wrexham Council this afternoon tweeting to say: “Bradley Road is now open two ways. Many thanks to all motorists for their patiences while roadworks took place.”
