Bradley Road Due To Reopen One Way Later Today After “Complex Emergency Job”

Some good news for those on the town centre roads, with people working extended hours meaning Bradley Road will reopen back to its one way status later today.

Peter Hughes, Wales & West Utilities Operational Manager for Wrexham told us: “We have finished work to repair a damaged gas pipe in the Bradley Road area of Wrexham.

“Watery Road reopened to traffic in both directions last night, and we are now waiting for the surface of Bradley Road to set before removing our road closure early evening. The road then will reopen with one way traffic into town as previously.

“We know that this work and the road closures have been inconvenient. This was a complex, emergency job to repair damage caused to our pipe by a third party and the safety of the local community is our priority. Our team have worked extended hours so we could get this issue resolved and the roads back to normal as safely and as quickly as possible.

“Wales & West Utilities, the gas emergency and pipeline service, takes pride in serving Wales and the south west of England. If anyone smells gas, thinks they have a gas leak, or suspects carbon monoxide poisoning, they should call us on 0800 111 999 and our engineers will be there to help, day or night.”

The road was closed off for emergency works that caused mayhem on Monday, with a water main also being struck.
