The incident started shortly before 10pm, @wxmmoz contacted our @wrexham Twitter account and said: ‘Police stopping traffic going down Bradley road next to bellevue park towards morrisons. No idea why. @wrexham’

Local sources have said that a man and woman are on the roof of a nearby church throwing bricks and slates initially at passers by. Police closed the road and are talking to the pair on the roof.

At the time of writing the situation is ongoing with the fire brigade on scene along with the police , with @stu_culli1 noting that the local speed camera van has also turned up!

22:30 There was a male and female up there, the male has been removed and arrested, they were sitting on the lower end of the church roof.

22:38 Reports that both are now down but still a large number of police about, fire service and road closed.

22:40 Road now reopened, incident over and the local residents are wandering back into the warmth.

As an add on, we have been told a local resident was helping to direct traffic alongside the police.
