Booms installed on the River Alyn after oil spillage
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has installed booms on the River Alyn after an oil spill in Wrexham.
The incident, saw the Rossett junction and part Llay Road closed, took place shortly after 9am this morning.
North Wales Police and traffic officers both attended the scene and the road has since re-opened.
NRW say that following the spillage on the B5102, booms have been place on the River Alyn to “absorb any oil pollution which may have spilt into the river in order to minimise impact to the environment and other water users.”
The temporary barriers are used to help contain oils spills.
