Body Found Near Shotton Railway Station

A body has been found near Shotton Railway Station.

Police searching for Mr Robert David Dykins, 75, missing from his home Shotton since yesterday morning, have found a body in woodland near Shotton railway station.

Formal identification will take place in due course.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and family members have been informed. The North East Wales coroner will also be notified.

Mr Dykins family would like to thank the public for their help in trying to trace him.

Original Story: An appeal for a missing 75-year-old man from Deeside has been launched.

Police in Deeside are concerned for Robert David “Dai” DYKINS who went missing from his home address on Shotton Lane in Shotton.

Mr Dykins who has not been seen since 7am Monday 10th of March.

Mr Dykins is big build, white hair, ruddy complexion, spectacles and may be wearing blue jeans/jog pants, black shoes, blue 3/4 waxed jacket.

Anyone with any information as to Mr Dykins whereabouts shoul call North Wales Police on ‘101’ quoting reference number R036170.
