There’s a fantastic BMX coaching opportunity for budding BMXers at Ponciau Banks Park during the Easter break.

A professional coach will be at the Park on Tuesday 26 March and 2nd April and children from 7 upwards are welcome to attend.

The Park boasts an excellent BMX track and is well used by local children. The coach will help beginners from 10.30 – 12.30 and non beginners can improve their skills between 1.00 and 3.00.

The sessions must be booked in advance and cost £3.00 per session. There are some bikes, helmets and gloves available that can be used. Contact 01978 844028 or 01978 822780 to book or for further information.

The track has received high praise from Shanaze Reade, BMX champion and Olympic Finalist:

“The BMX track at Ponciau Banks Park is a brilliant community sports facility and a great asset to the area. The club there offers real opportunities for kids of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to improve their BMX skills, have a go at hands on bike maintenance and have the chance to ride competitively”
