Beers Set To Flow At Inaugural North Wales Festival

This evening the inaugural North Wales Beer Festival gets underway at Glyndwr University’s Racecourse Stadium.

The event, organized by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) will showcase over 50 different beers predominantly from North Wales and Cheshire and is hoped will attract several hundred real ale enthusiasts from the area. One of the beers on offer, McGiverns Bridge Pale is brewed by previous winners of CAMRA Pub of the Year The Bridge End, Ruabon.

Glyndwr’s Centenary Club will host the event where attendees can pay on the door and entry is just £3, though tickets are available to pre-purchase at a number of selected pubs in the area. A range of hot and cold food will be on offer at the event, along with some ciders for those wanting to try something different. They will also be announcing the winner of North Wales Beer of the Year.

The beer will start flowing from 7-11PM this evening, from 12-4 tomorrow afternoon and 7-11PM tomorrow evening.
