Arson Attack At Gwersyllt Home

Police are appealing for information after a clothes horse was set on fire outside the door of a house in Gwersyllt, Wrexham.

The incident, which is being treated as arson, happened at an address in Second Avenue, Gwersyllt at around 10.45pm last night, July 24.

The clothes horse had been placed in the garden, but appears to have been moved against the kitchen door and set alight. North Wales Fire and Rescue Service attended. No one was injured and no damage was caused to the house, although smoke entered the property.

DS Kevin Bowden said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information about this incident which we are investigating as arson. Fortunately no one was injured; however, the consequences could have been very serious.

“Anyone who can assist with the investigation should call police on 101, quoting reference R113943.”
