We are told police were ‘everywhere’ from the cricket club up the hill with access off the roundabout at one point restricted into College Fields.

One resident told us activity appeared focused around a single house nearby, another has said they had not been given clearance to leave their property due to the nearby operation.

Police arrived in the area just before 8am this morning, with the searches continuing towards 10am.

There are no details as of yet to the nature of the operation.
