A vacant shop on Eagles Meadow is to be converted into a retail bureau de change after planning permission was granted.

The new facility will occupy unit D18 at the shopping centre, which is located next to Greggs / bridge at the entrance of Eagles Meadow.

The unit has been vacant for several months, having previously been occupied by a mobile phone shop specialising in repairs and selling phone and tablet accessories.

In October 2017 Wrexham.com reported that plans to change the use of the property from retail to financial and professional services had been submitted to Wrexham Council.

Approval has since been granted for the change of use under a delegated decision by the head of environment and planning at Wrexham Council.

It is thought that the business will create two full-time jobs and will be operational until 31st October 2022.

A further application seeking permission for the installation of signage and an ATM at the property have also been approved under a delegated decision.
