An application to convert offices on Regent Street into a new hair studio has been submitted.

The Stables, which are located next to La Baguette, comprises of four main rooms which are based across two floors. The building is currently vacant, but has been used as offices in previous years.

The property, which is a former period coach house and stables, is believed to date back to 1889. Over the years the building has been refurbished by previous owners to ensure that many of its original features are maintained.

In the application it is stated that the building’s current standards would be maintained, with plans to use the existing doors as the entrance to the property. There is also existing level access to the car park and entrance to the building, along with disable toilet facilities.

The benefits of the property’s location are also listed, with access to the nearby multi-story car park, bus station and train station all acknowledged.

An accompanying Design and Access Statement says: “We would be planning to maintain and keep clean the access to the building to enhance our business and enhance the character of the area to maintain a high standard.”
