An application to erect a unit that would house a key cutting service at a Wrexham supermarket, has been submitted to the Council.
The unit would be alongside the Tesco supermarket on Crescent Road, and would be part of a ‘joint venture’ between the supermarket and Timpson Ltd. The unit would provide services such as the installation of dry cleaning, key cutting, shoe and watch repairs in Tesco.
It is stated in the report that ‘The design has been carefully considered to offer the customer as many services as possible within the minimum footprint’.
The floor space of the unit itself is listed to be 23.04m2, and will be based on an already existing paved area of the site. It is listed in the planning application that one full-time job will be created through the joint venture.
An accompanying Design and Access Statement reads: “The unit is part of a joint venture between Timpson Ltd and Tesco to offer the customer the convenience of providing Timpson’s services within the Tesco grounds.”
