‘Shovels’ Used To Smash Town Centre Jewellers Windows In Afternoon Robbery

An appeal for information has been launched following a robbery at a town centre jewellers this afternoon.

North Wales Police were called at 3:23pm to reports that three males had smashed a window and stolen items at Martin Rees Jewellers in Chester Street.

The suspects made off on a motorbike which has since been recovered from the Pentre Gwyn area of Caia Park.

One eyewitness has recalled seeing ‘shovels’ used to break the windows.

Sgt Victor Powell said: “No one was hurt during this incident and we are still assessing what goods have been stolen.

“In the meantime I would appeal to anyone who has information which could assist us to contact North Wales Police as a matter of urgency on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting reference V090557.”
