Appeal After Fatal Collision Near Corwen

Police investigations are underway following a fatal collision on the A5104 Bryneglwys, near Corwen yesterday.

Officers were alerted to the incident at 1.56pm involving a motorcycle and a car.

Police and the Ambulance attended and sadly the motorcyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car and the passenger are believed to have sustained minor injuries and have been taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Chief Inspector Darren Wareing said: “Police investigations are underway and we are appealing to anyone who was travelling along the A5104 prior to the collision or anyone who may have information to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101.”

The Highways Department of the local authority have been informed and road closures were put in place.
