Appeal as car burnt out after motorcyclist injured in hit and run
An appeal has been made by police after a ‘hit and run’ incident that left a motorcyclist injured.
The motorcyclist told us about the incident that took place around 9pm on Thursday 24th October, “I was involved in a hit and run incident involving an Audi.
“I was driving a motorcycle at the time and sustained some minor and serious injuries including both my legs, my left shoulder, and many lacerations to my arms and legs.”
Police have told us the vehicle was subsequently located, however it was burnt out, on Stanley Street in Hightown.
We are told that the car was still registered to its previous owner.
Anyone with any information is urged to call police on 101 citing reference number 19100619305
Last week Sergeant Mike Norbury of North Wales Police is encouraged motorists to filling in out the V5 document and sending it to the DVLA with the new keeper details.
You are legally obliged to notify the DVLA of any change and failing to do so could lead to a fine.
Sgt Norbury said: “Often when sales are made via local websites and cold calling, the paperwork is not being completed correctly and the purchaser assures you they will fill it out and save you the effort.
“The paperwork is never completed and the vehicles become untraceable, often used as a Pool Car to commit crime.
