Police are appealing for information as to how a snared fox ended up on an estate in Chirk.

The incident was reported to North Wales Police on Thursday 16th March, although the snare was found on the Shropshire side of the Bryn Kinalt Estate.

Rural Crime Team officer PC Paul Davies said: “As staff on the estate never snare foxes, we believe the animal had been killed elsewhere, and the fox and free running snare had been placed in the grounds.”

“We want to know how the snare got there. If you have any information regarding this incident please call the Rural Crime Team on 101.
