Appeal after Skoda Yeti ram raids Chirk Co-op
Police have issued an appeal for information following a burglary in Chirk at 2.25am today.
North Wales Police said: “A Skoda Yeti with four occupants reversed into the shutters of the Co-op on Holyhead Road. Three suspects got out of the vehicle and entered the store, but left soon afterwards.”
It is unclear if anything was stolen.
Inspector Steve Owens said “The offenders used a vehicle that had been stolen in Llangollen on July 18. They left the scene within minutes and headed towards Llangollen.
“The scene is now being managed by officers and CSI have attended.”

Original information from this morning below…
The Chirk Co-op convenience store on Holyhead Road is closed this morning, with police cordoning off parts of the car park.
Nathan sent us the top image, and told us it is thought the store was subject to a ram raid.
Another resident spoke of the ‘very damaged’ frontage of the store, with the area nearby cordoned off with police forensic teams attending the incident.
More shortly.
