Appeal After Armed Robbery By Balaclavaed Men At Erbistock Pub

Police are appealing for information after a rural pub near Wrexham was robbed late last night.

Officers were alerted to the incident at the Cross Foxes public house in Erbistock at 10.50pm on Sunday November 16.

Four men wearing balaclavas, one armed with a knife and another with a baseball bat, confronted a female member of staff in the rear car park as she was making her way to her car after she had locked up.

She was made to re –open the premises and the offenders managed to steal a substantial amount of cash before making off in a vehicle.

The woman was unharmed.

Detective Sergeant Roz Hewitt said: “This was a terrible ordeal for the victim who fortunately was unharmed. I am appealing for information to help us bring these criminals to justice.

“Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area or who may be able to assist us in our investigation should call police on 101 quoting reference number R180953.”
