People experiencing problems with their broadband are being invited to a special public meeting aimed at improving local services.

Wrexham’s Assembly Member, Lesley Griffiths has arranged the event which will feature the Welsh Government’s Leader of the House, Julie James AM, as guest speaker.

The meeting is on Thursday 9 August at the Llay Community Resource Centre at 5pm.

The Leader of the House is responsible for digital infrastructure and broadband connectivity across Wales so the public meeting will offer Wrexham residents the chance to find out more about the national rollout of superfast broadband.

There will also be opportunities for attendees to ask questions to Julie James AM regarding their specific broadband concerns.

Lesley Griffiths AM said: “The majority of constituents who have contacted me on the past with broadband issues have tended to live in the north of the Wrexham constituency, bordering the more rural locations away from the town centre, which is why I decided to host the meeting in Llay.”

“Leader of the House, Julie James AM, is responsible for overseeing the rollout of broadband in Wales and is the ideal person to outline the current situation, as well as the plans in place for future development.”

“Anyone is welcome to attend but there are a limited number of places. To reserve a spot, please email [email protected] or call my office on 01978 355743.”
