Wrexham MP Ian Lucas is urging residents to visit an Alzheimer’s Society bus in town this Friday if they need help and advice.

The bus will be at Wrexham’s Tesco Extra between 10am and 4pm on Friday, June 23. Staff will be on hand to answer questions and/ or give support with regards to Dementia.

While in Wrexham, the bus will also be used to help promote the work being done locally to make the town a Dementia Friendly Community – something which Mr Lucas has been working alongside the charity to achieve.

He said: “In the months before this year’s election, more than 100 people from Wrexham organisations and businesses took part in training sessions which were designed to help them help people with dementia.

“I’ve also taken part in the training, as have staff from my office – it is very much worth doing and I’ve been working to promote it across Wrexham.

“I will be popping down to the bus on Friday – and I’d urge anyone from Wrexham who is interested to pop along too.”
