Air Crash Victims Named

North Wales Police have released the names of the two people who died following an air accident at Hawarden airport yesterday.

DS William Jones of Mold CID said: “The two people who died have been named as Gary Vickers, 58 from the Chester area and Kaye Clarke, 42 also from the Chester area.”

Police were informed of the incident involving a twin engine light aircraft at 1.07pm yesterday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where she later died.

North Wales Police are working with the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) to establish what caused the plane to crash.

The AAIB is leading the investigation.
