Road reopens as man airlifted to hospital following Bangor-on-Dee collision

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash in Bangor-on-Dee this afternoon.

Update: The road has since reopened.

Emergency services were called to the incident involving a cyclist and a car on the A525, Bangor-on-Dee at 3pm this afternoon.

Our tracking system has indicated the Welsh Air Ambulance landed nearby at 3:35pm

A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We were called today at approximately 3.15pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a cyclist at High Street, Bangor on Dee, Wrexham.

“We responded with one rapid response vehicle, one emergency ambulance and an air ambulance, where a male patient was taken by air ambulance to Stoke Hospital, Stoke on Trent.”
