Wrexham’s Citizens Advice Service has been awarded the Advice Quality Standard for its support to members of the public on social welfare issues.

The service, located on Grosvenor Road in Wrexham, provides free and confidential advice on a broad range of issues, including debt advice, immigration, housing problems, disability claims, divorce and separation, complaints about the health service or care homes, or power of attorney matters.

This year the service has once again obtained the Advice Quality Standard Certificate in the following categories:

– Debt specialist casework
– Disability casework
– Welfare benefits specialist casework
– Employment casework
– Housing casework

The certification is seen as the highest accolade for organisations that provide social welfare support.

Gaynor Roberts, chief executive at Wrexham’s Citizens Advice Service, said: “Out Advice Quality Standard Certificate has been in place with our organisation for over 18 years, this year we have added the Disability and Housing Work.

“We are also pleased to report that we have passed a full national audit on our work and service delivery to our clients.

“Please feel free to visit our services, all are welcome.”
