Wrexham.com readers and those who follow our @wrexham twitter account would have been some of the first to know about the traffic chaos hitting northbound A483 and A55 users this morning as we retweeted Danny Williams :

We drove around Rossett and the ‘back’ road through Handbridge this morning and viewed tailbacks as far as the Rossett interchange on the bypass, with traffic at a standstill northbound. Drivers had engines off and some were stood outside their cars.

The cause of the tailbacks was a 3 car incident around Broughton on the A55. One woman was taken to hospital as a result but the injuries are not believed to be serious.

Andy Jones sent us this picture of the traffic.

UPDATE 11:40:
Things go from bad to worse as a broken down lorry is creating further issues.
We have had a stream of people tweeting us this morning, these are the latest:

There has also been criticism of poor media coverage from some, with traffic reports now saying that there are ’10 minute delays’ – ignoring those on the A483.
