A male has been taken to hospital for treatment after a vehicle overturned in Wrexham early this morning.

The incident took place shortly after 8am this morning and is believed to have taken place on the A539 near Wynnstay Sawmills. As a result of the overturned vehicle both lanes were temporarily blocked while emergency services attended the scene.

Motorists were advised to find alternative routes, with North Wales Police Control Room tweeting: “RTC A539 Overton to Ruabon – by Wynstay Saw mills.  please avoid whilst we deal as traffic is at a standstill.”

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson has since said: “We were called today (Friday November 27, 2015) at approximately 8am to reports of a road traffic collision in the general area of Ruabon, Wrexham.

“We responded with one emergency ambulance and one adult male patient was treated at the scene before being taken to Wrexham Maelor General Hospital.”
