The A483 was closed off in both directions while emergency services responded to a collision between two cars and a van.

Kevin has told us “It’s a bad crash Chester bound with van and car. Hope all are ok”, with Rob sending us the above picture from the bypass.

Initially the closure was called an unspecified ‘police incident’.

A diversion was put in place on the old Wrexham to Chester roads with the A483 closed off between the Gresford and Rossett junctions, as of 7:20pm the road has reopened fully.

Gresford and the north / south bound carriageways of the bypass are queuing due to the redirection of traffic.
