Three fires have been started in one Caia Park street in the early hours of this morning, although police say there is nothing to link them at this time.

Police have launched a joint investigation with the fire service after a man was taken to hospital by ambulance suffering smoke inhalation after the letterbox of a property that suffered fire damage.

The emergency services were called to Bryn Haford just off Prince Charles Road at 2:05am, with two fire engines responding.

It is believed that the fire to the property was started started deliberately.

Emergency services were called to same street one hour earlier after reports of two separate incidents involving a car and a skip. One local resident has been in touch with us this morning to say the car fire occurred around midnight, and the second fire in the skip was prior to the property fire.

None of the three fires are being linked by police.
