A 3.8-magnitude earthquake hit North Wales just after 4am this morning.

The earthquake was recorded at 4:16am and 29 seconds, with a second tremor at 4:20am measuring 1.8 magnitude.

The epicentre of the earthquake was reported by the British Geological Survey as being in the Irish Sea off Abersoch.

Several people we have spoken to in and around Wrexham did not feel the quake, nor after a quick trip around Wrexham is there any visible damage.

North Wales Police said there has been no reports of injuries or damage.

We asked on twitter if anyone had felt the quake as we are technically close enough to feel it, however at the time of writing no one has!
