The Rural Crime Team from North Wales Police are appealing for information after a ‘shocking large scale theft’ of 114 Poll Dorset sheep and lambs.

The theft occurred last weekend from a field in Hope.

The Rural Crime Team state that the entire stock was taken from the field which had been securely locked.

They point out that the thieves would have needed to collect, transport, store, then dispose of the sheep.

Police added: “If you have any information please contact North Wales Police Rural Crime Team by dialing 101 – Please quote OWL Cymru Sheep Theft”.
