Wrexham is known primarily for its history as a market town having built itself on trading.

Despite several changes of location Wrexham’s open air Monday Market (formerly the Beast Market) has been one of the mainstays of the town for many years.

There are also several well known indoor markets including the Butchers Market, People’s Market and General Market.
