A wedding is one of the most important days of many people lives and on this basis it is very important that it goes to plan. The cost of weddings in the current day means it is highly important that they go glitch free. In order to ensure that wedding goes to plan and that everything is remembered for the big day it is a good idea to make a venue questions checklist. People who organising weddings are likely to have a number of different venues that they are considering and on this basis they need a list of questions that can help differentiate them.

There are bound to be some standard questions that will be asked when at a wedding venue but there should also be some location specific questions. Obviously questions should be asked if there are any clear problems or things that’s that stand out within a venue. General questions that should be asked include whether the venue is used to holding weddings and also whether previous people who got married at the venue are contactable. Where possible people should always be contacted in order to gather their thoughts on how their wedding went.

One of the main questions that should be on the checklist is asking a venue whether the dates desired are available. Many venues get booked up very quickly and therefore they often have to be booked several years in advance. Some wedding venues do not welcome children and some have strict guidelines on who is welcome. On this basis, it is always worth asking the venue on these matters. Weddings often extend throughout the day and one of the main elements of the day is the food and drink that is on offer. The wedding venue questions checklist should have numerous questions around these aspects. There should be the standard questions in order to understand what food menus they offer and the prices of these.

Many venues will be prepared to cater for individual needs and therefore those people who have particular requests should always ask if this is possible. When selecting the drinks that are required for the wedding it is worthwile asking the venue for a full list of what they offer. Some wedding venues will also offer a corkage option where it is possible to purchase the drinks elsewhere and then pay a fee for consuming these on their premises. Other questions that should be asked include questions around the external areas that can be used for photographs. Also, asking whether there are any leisure facilities and how many bedrooms the venue can offer.
