According to local rumours the Geese were dumped on the Lake by somebody who could not keep them. Would it be sensible for them to go somewhwere else not on the Lake. Since they appeared we have seemed to have lost a number of large birds such as the Mute Swans and Canada Geese

It could have been worse for the geese. Nice environment and people to feed them. Are they friendly or territorial types?

If you were that strapped for cash wouldn't they be in your pot and feeding your kids, rather than dumped?

Perhaps they couldn't take care of them any more so abandoned them. But if you are interested to roast heat oven to 240C/fan 220C/gas 9 and roast allow 15 minutes per 500g, plus an extra 30 minutes and serve with a sharp, fruit-based sauce such as apple or cherry. It's not a suggestion by the way I am joking!
