A Penycae resident contacted us recently to let us know that road humps in the village had been removed, so we got in touch with the council to find out why.
At present they've been taken away on a temporary basis, but Wrexham Council said they would consult residents on whether to remove them permanently. Would you like to be consulted similarly in your area? http://www.wrexham.com/news/penycae-...oval-8790.html Last edited by Liam; 06-22-2012 at 12:15 PM. |

The speed humps on Stryt Issa were, like many others in Wrexham, too severe. They should slow traffic not bring it to walking pace. Even driving at 20 mph will cause damage to vehicles. I would dearly like to sue the council for causing damage to my vehicle when I am driving it legally within the posted speed limit.

If the council consult residents in this, would they not need to consult in everything else?
The worst thing the council ever did was put in speed bumps and the likes. As far as I can tell, the very people they were designed to slow down, are still going just as fast. And lets be fair, this is the same council that put traffic calming measures on Park Avenue the other end of the road to the school |
