wrexviewParticipantMade me think that maybe some people go to A&E when it’s not a true emergency.
Think we all should be extremely grateful to all the staff working in A&E not just over Christmas and New Year, but through out the year. They have no idea what they are going to face each day or even how many colleagues they will have to work beside them. A&E is nothing with out the doctors and nurses . Use it wisely and only when you really need it and don’t forget curtesy costs nothing. Thank you all, the public appreciates all you do under the most difficult circumstances at times.
wrexviewParticipantWell that’s interesting it’s 8pm on Christmas Eve and there are only 35 people in A&E. Haven’t seen a number that low before.
wrexviewParticipantThis is almost 10 years ago, some of the current ruling independents , were Labour then.
wrexviewParticipantThis LDP was started back in 2010 under a previous Chief Executive, and Leader of the Council and before the Labour Party split when some resigned from the party. So its based on economic factors 13 years out of date. A 2021 Census that showed many of the assumptions held 2010 are proving wrong. This LDP is only going to be in use for a short time before the next one will be under construction. This mess is over a decade in the making, those with long memories will know Labour was in power in Wrexham then and had been for decades.
wrexviewParticipantThursday December 14th mid day and waiting time down to 1 hour 45 minutes. Have noticed in previous weeks waiting times seem less on a Thursday. Is there a specific reason why ?
wrexviewParticipantBaroness Morgan said waiting well is not only about clearing the backlog: “It’s also about optimising the chance of that patient getting a better outcome.”
Baroness Morgan is not in the real world, people who are ill , like cancer patients, need treatment sooner not later to achieve the best outcome. Those waiting for knee and hip operations will tell her there is no waiting well because of the pain.
wrexviewParticipantFriday December 8th , 12 ambulances waiting outside A&E at the Wrexham Maelor at 10.30 am. That’s 12 ambulances not available to answer life threatening emergencies in the community. People will be dying as a consequence of this.
wrexviewParticipantCurrent live data Wrexham Mwelor Hospital..Tuesday 12 noon …..64 patients, 6 hours 45 minutes in the department.
Done a mid day one today, similar number of patient in department, and waiting time still well over the 4 hour target. Is that still the target in Wales?

wrexviewParticipantCurrent live data in Wrexham Maelor Hospital…..Monday 2.30 pm 90 patients waiting time 4 hours 15 minutes , busier than usual.
wrexviewParticipantCurrent live data Wrexham Maelor hospital ….Sunday 9.50 pm. 88 patients , 7 hours 15 minutes waiting time in department , busier than usual.
Big variations in waiting times although number of patients broadly similar over several days.
