“Ratty” appears to be a former familiar face in the higher echelons of council staff, a firm message about perhaps predictable issues from someone with insight?
Old Ratty Trev should have more insight into the budget pressures the Council is under. In times of austerity the rodding of drains is a luxury rather than a necessity. Most of the time they are fire fighting and have to react to issues that they cannot afford to sort out from their ordinary budgets.

Same with potholes. We all complain and the quick fixes don’t work put putting down a new surface isn’t an option. I am just grateful they are going to sort out the Gresford roundabout.

So come on Ratty think back to how hard times were at the Council and remember they are getting worse.

I will be voting in other elections (so i can moan then!) but not for these joke ones. By the time their winning hangovers have subsided, they will be being kicked out of their jobs.

I think that they will be lucky to get a 36% turnout but i may be wrong and people may vote as a protest.

Only time will tell – – – – and now i don’t know what to do again!

Matt, is there any point in the Country electing MEPs when they will be automatically ejected when (if) we leave on or before Halloween? It is a massive expense just like the BREXIT process has been so far.

Spoil v Don’t Vote v Protest Vote

Spoiling a paper or recording a protest vote gives the impression that people are interested but by not voting, there is a poor turnout and the politicians get the message that nobody cares because the elections shouldn’t be taking place.

I get the civic duty point but you need to buy into the election and believe in the outcome. I stupidly believed my LEAVE vote would count. Many of us have lost faith in the process now.

Should i vote in something that i don’t have any passion about and don’t care about the outcome of?

GoM1, i don’t think that grasp my post do you?

1. i don’t expect or need it to be read – it is a protest
2. There is no Batphone to parliament because Batman doesn’t live or work there (he just visits)

and
3. to quote a previous post – we are voting to send representiaives to an assembly we should no longer be a party to.
4. the GoM1 website says “Take The First Step Towards Success & Become Who You Were Meant To Be” – how many steps have you taken so far?
