I don’t think the site has lost anything Wayne. Any member of public has the right to reply to any article on wrexham.com if they feel strongly enough via these forums. The fact that none have as far as I can see indicates that the matter doesn’t concern them unduly.

Sam, I really hoped the council would be sensible on this one. If the road was going to be built it should have been built in the first phase. It wasn’t and I seriously doubt that it ever will be. Another false promise from a developer only interested in lining their own pockets and no help from a council in too deep to dig themselves out. It would take a very strong minded person to admit the council made a mistake and try to rectify it now. We don’t seem to have any in our councillors mores the pity.

I think it’s a case of mocking what you love. My husband and I mock each other all the time but we don’t mean it. I know Wrexham has it’s faults but it’s no worse than anywhere else. It could be better but I am very happy to live here and have never wanted to live anywhere else.

I watched them whizz past. I saw a flash of yellow sleeve, that was Wiggins. The rolling road block was fascinating to watch, a bit like a motorbike relay race. The back up vehicles included an AA van and an ambulance. I lost count of the spare bikes that went past. I really enjoyed the whole spectacle.

I have joined the Trust. I know it’s a drop in the ocean but will keep it up as long as is necessary.

I find out what’s on without marketing. Are the people of Wrexham incapable of finding out for themselves? I do agree that with more promotion the shows might be better attended but when I went to see a well known comedian the place was packed.

Do you think the club is sustainable as a fan based club or is it’s fate to stay in the lower echelons of football. My Dad’s attitude is that he supports the club no matter what league they are in.

I have been to a couple of shows there recently and I enjoyed them. I am going again in October. It might be that I am easily pleased. :D

So even if the big draw bands were to agree to use the stadium the only people to profit would be Glyndwr University? The football club would not see a penny of any profit?

It seems to be a matter of discussion for the university and the council then.

Years ago I used to see a woman who carried a yorkshire terrier in a basket over her arm. When they were on the street the dog would poke his head out of the basket but when they went into a shop it would hide under the baskets’ cover!
