TruthbeknownParticipantWhere is the rising tide. 3% of tests positive, 2 coughs and a fart and most are over it.
TruthbeknownParticipantThere you go JaneJ, you finally got what you wanted. A complete and utter load of tosh from a government hell bent on destroying our fragile economy with scaremongering tactics. Taking away basic liberty from hard working, honest law abiding people and blaming them for it.
TruthbeknownParticipantIt seems the blame for everything is people not wearing masks, its only been mandatory for around a week, previously Welsh government scientific advice saying they were not particularly effective. Now its causing all the problems in creation. Nobody knows who’s exempt from wearing a mask only the person themselves, I wear mine when required indoors because its mandatory and also the correct thing to do, its my responsibility to reduce the risk to myself and others, and I accept that responsibility. Sadly we live in a society where some will not take that responsibility and require guidance.
Testing is the problem, the extreme negativity promoted by the media is getting to people and they are scared, they get their usual cold or cough and its a rush to get a test that’s not available.Drakeford and VG just politically use England and Boris as the excuse they need so as not to blame themselves, their tv updates last week were virtually party political broadcasts. They have known for weeks that this problem would surface and did nothing except now adding that we have extra capacity in Wales which we will bring into use over the next few weeks, what unbelievable ineptitude !!
The UK as a whole is testing virtually a quarter of a million people daily and most are negative but the media keeps on pushing the agenda of fear and focusing on all the negative aspects of the situation. We have virtually no cases locally, from well over a thousand tests the last 4 days we have a handful, with all the rest if symptomatic probably having seasonal colds etc, our hospital is empty of Covid cases and if we all take care and adhere to the rules then hopefully it will stay that way.
TruthbeknownParticipantOr depending on your interpretation of it all,
Sarah Atherton votes for what’s best for the UK
TruthbeknownParticipantJane, testing in N Wales as a whole is still a total farce and VG and his team really need to get there act together or do the honourable thing. We all have a responsibility to do our part, most people testing positive now are experiencing mild symptoms or are asymptomatic. Whether they can get a test or not, and I reiterate that test should be available immediately and locally for them, anyone who suspects they have Covid should be isolating. There is no way to police this situation we must take responsibility for our own actions.
The virus is certainly not out of control in Wrexham, N Wales or Wales by any means as much as Drakeford and his scaremongering would have us believe, obviously the other 228 people tested must have a cold or perhaps flu, if they were tested due to symptoms. Will we shut the country down for Flu, think we all know the answer to that.
TruthbeknownParticipantWelsh Testing Debacle continues, absolutely unbelievable that at a time when needed and prompted by media and government to be sensible and safe, nearest test site available this morning is 70 miles away in Oldham.
Hypercritical bull from V Gething “We all have a responsibility to stop Coronavirus spreading and protect our communities”. He or the Senedd dont give a hoot about anything or anyone outside South Wales.
Responsibility lies with him to provide capacity for a Welsh local testing facility for me or my family to use when and if required.
TruthbeknownParticipantHuw, as with in all professions, there are good and bad. Some are there to teach our children and do so with distinction, while other perhaps would be better suited in other employment.
Happy to say that most of the teachers I have any had contact with are in the first group although they do like a good moan, but don’t we all ?.
TruthbeknownParticipantQuoted
“Testing
A mobile testing station was sent to Rowan Food to test all workers and establish the extent of the outbreak. To date 1067 workers have been tested with a 185 testing positive and 856 negative. We are awaiting 26 test results which are yet to be cross referenced. A further 300 workers are yet to be tested with 150 of these either currently shielding or on long term absence (these will not be tested). The remaining 150 will be tested in the next 48 hours. The turnaround time for 742 of the samples was actually within 24 hours.”I think that probably accounts for the near 1400 that are employed there.
June 29, 2020 at 10:29 pm in reply to: Wrexham Outbreak…thank God WAG have a handle on it…NOT #188807
TruthbeknownParticipant
TruthbeknownParticipantIt would seem that they have found the missing 300. Over the weekend an investigation found half were not working at the time of outbreak while the others were self isolating. So it seems all are accounted for so no illegals as has been sprouted in the National gutter press and social media rubbish.
So if PHW data is correct then only 4 positive testing cases in Wrexham area over last 2 days and no Deaths. Good news!!
