In Recent Years the Leader has gone further and further down a sensationalist route, obviously in an attempt to revive sale’s. I used to buy it daily, if only for the football news. Obviously now the Internet feeds that demand.I only ever tend to buy a copy now if one of my Children have their photo or drawing featured ( possibly typical of most people now ) I wonder how much it’s circulation has declined?

Sorry Daaaaaave63 its not Christmas its “HOLIDAYS”!
So take your pick from Merry Christmas, Christians; Happy Hanukkah, Jews; Super Solstice, Pagans; Hurray, Human Light Humanists; Joyous Kwanzaa to African Diaspora

My head is still buzzin’ from those tiny cans of sugar they kept givin me last night ….

I totally agree with the above posts, Bubble you’ve hit the nail squarely on the noggin.
It’s fine to Champion this scum from an arms length, but nobody should have to go home to fear and intimidation.

How about relocating it to the early 1990’s…when begging and alcoholism were in their infancy in Wrexham and ebay/internet etc meant nothing to most people and teenagers got their jolly’s from Adult Mags found suspiciously lying around in Acton Park. Rhosnesni was St Davids and Dogs were Dogs. Yes, a simpler BETTER era.

Ok “Brymbo 76” – How about one post office in Wetherspoons? and the other in Eagles Meadow -2 carpark? Or maybe sharing with a Subway?

Perhaps the Council could make money by installing jet-washes at these locations ( or even a mobile jet-wash? ) and charge the public a couple of pound a go to hopefully wash this menace into the gutters. The idea occured to me recently as I was washing my car at Tesco and spotted a hooded ner-do-well loitering close by.

[quote quote=113419]Jane , I note the main thrust of your argument, that education may be more productive than aggressive legislation.
Might I therefore suggest the council or Police assemble a rapidly mobile, crack team of rough men to administer a right good kicking to the miscreant and his ilk.
This likely would be more effective to try and change the individuals lifestyle, and ultimately more cost effective.
I would wager that the spin-off video show might generate enough to fund such a service and some of us here may pay good money to participate.

Haha you’re just putting into words what most people’s ideal solution to all of town’s ills would be.
Maybe call the Show “Any Spare Change?”

On the many occasions I have driven from Wrexham to Crewe ( train station ) I’ve usually done it in approx 50 – 55 minutes ( usually the last mile takes 10 minutes at peak times )
It’s pot luck that you don’t get stuck behind a tractor on the A534.
