September 12, 2019 at 11:23 am in reply to: Opposing Brexit could cost me my seat – Labour MP Ian Lucas #173920

I for one, won’t lose any sleep when they start moaning and demonstrating about rising prices, loss of jobs and shortages. You wanted it, you got it. Own it and live with it.
Yes, it’s just a pity that there’s no way to make sure that only those who support this brexit folly suffer the results of it.
Type 1 diabetics, epileptics, those with high blood pressure, cancer patients benefiting from Euratom etc are literally having their lives placed at risk.
I’ll join the others in saying well done, Mr Lucas, for trying to do the best by your constituents and not yielding to hysterical propaganda-fuelled populism.
TimRegencyParticipant
There are no heroes in the Brexit mess. None of the political parties come out of this with any credit whatsoever. Not one of them.
Perhaps, but there absolutely is a villain. That’d be the Conservative party.
Cameron calls a completely unnecessary referendum to settle a posh club room dispute with a handful of backbenchers.
He doesn’t set it up properly, he asks if you would like to stay in the EU or to leave, without saying what ‘leave’ actually means. A false dichotomy. He doesn’t insist on a qualified majority.
He loses it, then he walks off to leave May, then Johnson, to do some spectacular flailing while the UK heads for a cliff edge. Johnson’s actually trying to power us off.
You’ve got to hand it to these Conservatives. Nobody is better at creating a nuclear explosion of problems out of thin air, while ignoring existing problems.
But, hey, keep voting for them.

“Corbyn’s magic money tree”? Sajiv Javid seems to have found his own magic money tree. Strange how Labour borrowing is evil, but Conservative borrowing is good.
“Labour has the wrong leader”? He was elected by the Party membership twice by overwhelming majorities (unlike Mrs May); Cooper stood but we didn’t want her and Harmon had told Labour MPs to abstain on the vote on the Tory Welfare Bill – unbelievable.May stood un opposed
Johnson was elected by their party membership
However the party memebership of BOTH parties dont only vote in GE
The country votes and the MPs who clain Corbyn is Toxi and dont trust him expect us to trust him.The other parties wanted a Temp Leader to take the reigns if they took an emergency govement ( such is Corbyns endorsement )
Then look at Labour in the Polls
Trialling and by a Large amount too predicted 25% share of the vote compared to Libs 20% that may even push them to third ( poss 4th depending on snp in scotland )
And Corbyn is the reason
He shoukd be miles ahead of the most un popular tory goverment in living memory he isnt
And his Magic money tree
Tax the rich ( brillaint on paper ) until the Rich say sod this were moving ) then where does his magic money come from.
Labour over borowed last time
Harmon Should be leader she tied Cameron in Knots at the Dispatch box fsr better PM than May and Johnson. Cooper too tied may in Knots corbyns stuggles with 6 questions on p.qs
Corbyn should know as a union champion.
That the first rule of Negotiation is walk away. ( its the trump card that almost alaways works ) aka ( strikes ) under Union speak. So what is Corbyn i will honour the result of refuredum going to do.
He cried for a GE
Yet Chickend out
If he is so confident if winningCampaign for revoking article 50 and then if he wins
He can go to Brussles and cancel itChicken
Why?Cause he knows the 4 Seats he has gained in 9 years will vanish as will a few more
They will be worse off than they were in 2010.
But we already know what the billionaire owners of the Sun, the Mail, the Express and the Telegraph think. What do you think?

TimRegencyParticipantMaybe people stayed away because of the self-righteous caterwauling of the Wrexham for EU FBPE mob, but I for one will still be voting to remain in any new referendum. I’m sure there are plenty of others who haven’t been put off by the FBPE types as well.

TimRegencyParticipant
The election is coming don’t worry -we’re getting ready now. You may continue leaving hilarious takes right out of the far right media and Boris’ propaganda machine.
Ken Clarke and Churchill’s Grandson thrown out of the Tories, Rees Mogg looking like a homeless oik on the front benches. Dominic Cummings running around Westminster pissed on red wine accosting journalists and screaming at Corbyn to call an election.
It’s easy enough to angrily deflect criticism at Corbyn to mask massive catastrophic failings of the Conservative Government but their goose is cooked. That is perhaps part of Corbyn’s power, make him look like a fool, attack his character, state he associates with dodgy characters, but he hasn’t put a foot wrong against either May or Johnson – he has quietly and calmly caused the Tories – out of their own foolishness take a working majority and turn it into a humiliating minority.
You’d best hope Farage and the Brexit party have some magic tricks for this election.
TimRegencyParticipantStrategic genius. Maybe Boris could ask the Queen to prorogue last night’s vote?
TimRegencyParticipant
Whatever happens in the coming weeks and months we all have to live with it.
That might be a little tricky for the UK’s Type 1 diabetics and epileptics who rely on medicine from the EU, as well as cancer sufferers who depend on Euratom.

No.they are thieving little skanks who deficate everywhere and illeagly park on land that is not there.

August 24, 2019 at 1:14 pm in reply to: Planning appeal launched after Gresford housing proposals thrown out for3rd Time #173128
TimRegencyParticipantIsn’t AA just doing what we would expect from a good local politician? Taking up the concerns of the constituents who elected him? Even as a strong Labour/Jeremy Corbyn supporter, I would have thought it would be pretty ridiculous to expect AA to do anything else. Also:
– Hasn’t Gresford already had considerable housing development in their back yard, namely the pavilion development and at Old Wrexham Road?
– Isn’t the proposed development area green belt? Brownfield sites ought to be used first.
– The local doctors have already said they are overwhelmed; the planners haven’t addressed this.
– The road is narrow and there is some sort of business that uses lorries. Traffic flow will be difficult, especially at peak times.Have I missed anything out? It’s not surprising that the plan was rejected on the merits.
TimRegencyParticipantA lot of the so-called facts about benefits put forward here are merely parroting the hate propaganda in right wing rags.
‘Welfare dependency’ – the bizarre idea that the thing here to relieve poverty is now the thing that causes it. As if there were no poverty before the arrival of the welfare state. It was just a solution in search of a problem(!)
They should lock the parents up and cart off the kids to foster homes where they would be cared for.
Unwanted kids who will grow up that starving your kid is the norm and that luxuries are more important.
Lunch clubs are a sticking plaster and mean that the bad parents are rewarded and have even more dosh to splash out on fags n booze.
There are some right scum families out there and a lot of us know them. So, taxpayers should pay a fortune to keep the parents locked up in prison, another fortune to keep the children in foster care, and a set of new fortunes to mop up the inevitable damage that ensues? That’s before we talk about the psychological damage to the children as a result of forced separation from their parents.
That gives you a little clue about what motivates those who take an ignorant and hateful attitude towards those on social security, (and it isn’t about helping anybody.)
