I’ve parked in there weekly for the last few years. It was going downhill before the last closure, but now its really poor. The machines won’t take card payments today, the place is dirty, light fittings are hanging down on their wires, lagged pipes have been ripped open, bins are overflowing. I did not see any supervisors or security. It’s a shame, as it’s in a really convenient location and unlike Island Green, you don’t need to take out a loan to meet the daily parking fees!

Someone in authority must have sanctioned all this work, to occur on this day.I don’t believe for one minute that contractors just rock up and crack on. Who’s responsible for this “Omnishambles”?

I rarely respond, but this is worth it. I’ve started using the Peoples Market for all day parking, once a week, since the Regent St NCP closed. WOW! the smell of urine as you troop down the stairs is to die for and its the same every single week, without fail. Seriously in this day and age, is this the best we can do as a community? Clearly no senior officers from the council have to put up with this on a daily basis, otherwise the problem of urine covered stairwells would have been sorted long ago. Basically, this sums up our town centre. Other than small niche areas, it’s not very nice.

Horrendous. I’m sure the MD of this company would be interested in viewing the video:

My own experience of WCBC CCTV Operators. Hugely professional and able people. There are many people, especially the clubbers on the weekend, some worse for wear through alcohol, who owe their continued good health to those operators….There’s a reason the police turn up, as if by magic!

But I agree, probably over-stretched, underpaid and under-staffed.

I look forward to seeing the devil in the detail.

I know nothing about this guy, other than he’s engaged on here a few times.
Set out your stall Sir. I’m not convinced our sitting MP is as safe as people assume.

For me, it’s more about what he’s achieved in that role. If he is genuinely making a positive difference to the lives of those from the forces and their families who live locally…more power to his elbow. If he’s not, then hand it over.

I suppose a lot of the work may be unseen and untrumpeted. Or at least I hope so!
