TheSpectreParticipantWelcome to rip off Britain where joe public gets hit in the pocket year after year as the powers that be know that we can afford these increases just keep the stiff upper lip boys and girls as you know its makes sense and remember what cam the man said ‘we are all in this together’.
October 21, 2016 at 1:15 pm in reply to: Council Budget Cuts- Leader of Council needs to go back to school to learn math #121194
TheSpectreParticipantThis council has an open door policy except that it is controlled by a small group of elected representatives whether its the leader and his cronies I cannot say but democracy seems to have all but disappeared from Wrexham council based on recent decisions.
It appears that it is ‘do as say not as I do’.
TheSpectreParticipantAs senior management posts are so important within the structure of the council other persons I assume must have been given the role/duties as they would have not just disappeared?.
So these persons being given extra duties/responsibilities on top of their current jobs would carry on with the same financial remuneration as they had before, somehow I think not at this level, as a minion you just have more work dumped on you and told to get on with it by senior management
At senior management level one could say that financial ‘inducements’ perhaps have been added (nudge nudge wink wink).October 13, 2016 at 9:42 am in reply to: Ambitious Plans to Increase Welsh Speakers in Wrexham Backed by Councillors #120770
TheSpectreParticipantwhat ‘pot’ did this money appear from as our elected members keep saying budget cuts/no money etc politically correct no, politically inept yes, but hey the new arts hub will save us all as it will be the guiding light to draw in the massive crowds even though the powers that be have indicated it being a loss maker for at least four years.
Yes Wrexham council keep spending taxpayers money on these good decisions (most made behind closed doors) as you know it makes senseSeptember 10, 2016 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Wrexham Council Look to Public For Input on How to Make Savings of £5m #119085
TheSpectreParticipantWhatever input from the public is provided we can rest assure that 99.9% will be ignored by the main decision makers in this council.
One thing that is sure to happen is another council tax increase with the same bland excuses as given in previous years, pay even more for less as we are all in it together and we are seen as cash cows with deep pockets.
Still this council is becoming ‘lean and mean’ in their own eyes, you only have to look at the fancy job titles that a percentage of the employees have (or make up).
Yes the councillors listen to our views (NOT) and this council has an open door policy except when decisions have already been made behind closed doors so I would assume that another public input is highly anticipated.
TheSpectreParticipantI would like to know if now being an Executive Director with I assume more responsibility and pressure this guy has the time to get the job done with regards to the ‘vision’ for wrexham or will it just become a ‘paper pushers’ position.
April 2, 2016 at 9:14 am in reply to: Wrexham Council building on Greenbelt and School Fields #110983
TheSpectreParticipantTwo things that need to be mentioned are:-
the more houses built within this borough the more council tax that has to be paid to this council and
the more money the chief executive can get (increase in population)
Any problems with the existing infrastructure and services trying to cope I would think has only slightly crossed the minds of Wrexham council because at the end of the day MONEY TALKS.
TheSpectreParticipantpigs and troughs its the same old story with this council and these people.
TheSpectreParticipantVanity, vanity and more vanity from the minority of elected members who have hidden agendas and make the majority of decisions behind closed doors that will effect all council tax payers.
Democracy in this council has disappeared completely the few rule the rest.January 1, 2016 at 11:04 am in reply to: Good Value for Wrexham Council TAX payers ?????? !! #105390
TheSpectreParticipantWell no surprise about this as this council it would seem does not give a toss and just keeps having a blinkered view about certain projects its all about image and ‘points’ so that those in power can look good.
Brings to mind a large big pile of dog mess waiting to be stepped on. -
