Just an observation on the new frontage of the Guildhall it would appear to be open ended.
In the statement by the Leader of the Council, he states that the frontage will reduce anti social behaviour and increase security of the building.
My questions are 1. How does this frontage reduce anti social behaviour. 2. How does an open ended frontage increase the security of the building and staff.
I would suggest that at a time of fiscal difficulties and cuts in services perhaps this is the wrong time to spend the reported £11,000 on a project which appears to be purely a cosmetic job on the frontage of the building.

The only conclusion I can make from the report is that perhaps Clr Pritchard is in fact a Dalek and therefore does not like stairs.
Hmmm…. Very Appropriate……. DESTROY!….DESTROY!…..DESTROY!….

The website is abyssmal, it looks as if it was thrown together by an amateur, not a professional web designer. This is regardless of the content.

The content is confusing (probably intentional) and no one could imagine the vast majority of the electorate understanding it.

I suggest that Councillors start again, but this time without the help of Any council employees, no matter what their level in the heirarchy.

I think it is high time that WCBC Executive Board, and especially the set up and responsibilities of the various department ‘Leads’, be questioned and Investigated by the Political Ombudsman. The way this council is set up is undemocratic in the extreme.
A Staffordshire Fire & Rescue tender went past Aldi at Llangollen today. Nothing to get excited about though.

I doubt they get excited down at the Royal Stoke University Hospital when a Welsh ambulance turns up either.
I doubt they would too, as no Welsh ambulances would be Available to turn up.

Derek Fisher. You state that the building is ‘derelict’. That is not so, and I as a professional in this field can tell you now, as I stated in the Leader, the School is Structurally SOUND. What is more it DOES meet 21st Century standards and requirements. Speak when you know, not out of ignorance and bias. Now I am done with this backward, pointless thread.

Derek Fisher, It was Not Plaid Cymru who instigated the saving of the former Groves and Grove Park Girls Grammar School. Rather it was a group of people who were and are concerned at the disappearing heritage of Wrexham and area. That group of people are now known as SOH or Save OUR Heritage. They have many many supporters in the Wrexham area. They are people who know more than a little about History, Architecture, and Worth, unlike some folk. As for the Listing… I put the request in for the Building to be Listed on their behalf. I too know more than a little about the history of Wrexham, the Worth of Buildings and especially in this case, the history, heritage, architectural worth, and past individuals involved in the building, the teaching and the actual construction of the School. I could say more, but do not intend writing a book here, nor will I get into fractious arguements with those who have no knowledge of the historic worth, and the architectural worth of that building.

The figure of £1.1 million spent since 2015 is a lie .. a total lie. As for Asbestos, do you realise that before a building can be demolished any asbestos has to be removed from it. That, is LAW. This present arguement is a futile attempt by a Council Exec board who are not worth their salt.

Well said Matt. A good summing up of the wretched state of Wrexham Town, and the Council, including Officers.
