tanyddraigParticipantI don’t totally dislike the new website, it does look more modern. However the blue around the twitter feed is quite offensive to the eye, hopefully that gets changed. Also, the forum part on the homepage looks more like an after thought than part of the design. “Bugger! We forgot to put the forum on, I’ll just jam it in there out of the way”

Sadly I doubt it. I also doubt it will be temporary too. Speed limits rarely go up. I have a feeling we will be told that “The reduction in nitrogen dioxide was such a Great Success that we have decided to make the reduction permanent”
Hopefully it will be made permanent and they’ll look at reducing the limits on other roads too, like the Llanypwll Link road for instance.
Ohhh no thank you. An enforced minimum speed would be good, to stop people who consistently drive 20mph under the speed limit thinking they are heroes, when in reality these zombie drivers would fail a driving test for doing so. I remember my driving instructor teaching me that driving too slowly is dangerous as you cause other road users to become frustrated which, as per human nature, can cause them to make rash decisions.
Either way, people have varying ideas and neither will convince the other they are wrong. People should drive to the conditions of the road they are on. Yes sometimes this means slower, but only if the situation warrants it, not just holding up traffic because they think they know better.

tanyddraigParticipantI’d love to see Wrexham busy and buzzing again. Any money spent improving the town is most welcome. Sadly Ty Pawb is difficult for me to see as an improvement. I found it rather unwelcoming and depressing. Bare breeze block, ply wood, the shops looked more like cages. I thought it was going to be vibrant and inviting but to me it was dull, unfinished and in desperate need of a coat of paint. I spoke to a few people there and most had the same opinion. Hard to see where all that money was spent. I doubt I will go there again.
tanyddraigParticipant
Someone would have to pay for these profligate promises from the Welsh Nationalists.
Economically speaking, the tax receipts generated within the principality are most significantly less than the principality requires to economically function.
These tax receipts are then consequently topped up by the English economy to balance the books. It’s so easy to shout for independence and to promise ‘free beer for all’ when your spending someone elses’s money.
Economic and political fact? or just ‘drivel’………….

So you admit it’s not “ALL paid for by the English taxpayer” then? :)
tanyddraigParticipant
…. and all paid for by the English taxpayer.

That’s OK then. As long as us Welsh don’t have to pay for their drivel.
tanyddraigParticipantI’d call it HMP Firestone. In recognition of what was there before, and it sounds awesome!
