Grosvenor Rd was constant gridlock all day today.

I drove from the B&Q roundabout down Mold Road on to Grosvenor road then towards Acton yesterday at about 13:45 and all roads were clear with no signs of “gridlock”.

As far as I am aware these vehicles patrol council owned sites. I’ve seen them up at Minera lead mines and at Acton Primary school. I don’t see what the problem is with them.

I was under the impression that the old Brother site was being cleared in preparation for the joint station. The thing holding it up was the narrow, weight restricted bridge that leads to the site. The road works in place will see the removal of the bridge and widening of the road.

That is what I’ve been lead to believe!!

How much is being spent at Croesnewedd? £1.4 million? Not much really wrong there but funds cannot be found to resolve this road. Why?

Isn’t the money being spent there in preparation for the building of the joint ambulance and fire service premises?

The best option would be removing the footpath and widening the road. A footbridge over the railway could then be installed and used by pedestrians and cyclists.

All this costs money so the one way system would be the cheapest option!!

I don’t think traffic lights would work. You get a red light on the Rhosddu side and traffic will quickly build up onto the main road.

Wrexham council really need to look at doing major roadworks in the area at night.

Wynnstay colliery was near Plas Madoc. The stone built winding tower is still there. Over 30 men lost their lives underground here.

I’ve noticed a few buildings in the bushes (across the road from the caravan place)which I presume are part of the colliery. It would be nice if the area was cleared of bushes etc and the buildings made visible from the road.

I was an avid reader of Red Passion until they changed it to members only!(I’ve got no intention of registering on it as I would never post).

It’s only a matter of time until they are open 24 hrs a day all year.
