An earleir post mentioned affluent visitors from Ellesmere and Whitchurch coming to Eagles Meadow.

I would like to point out that if you are unable to find free parking in both Whitchurch and Ellesmere (of which there is plenty) then in Ellesmere(in the town) it is only 10p to park for 2 hours and Whitchurch only 50p.

The good news is it is cheaper to park and get fined in Ellesmere than it is to park in EM.

According to the guy who fitted the Marchwiel camera it is traffic census and while this model of camera can record numberplate details the census ones do not have the software to do so.

If it is not illegal that it should be.

Is it time to fight fire with fire?

I suggest the Alyn Waters Dung Spreading championships or maybe the local car cruising club all night all week sound off. Why make it comfortable for them?

If they like the field so much just barricade them in. It is the councils land so if they choose to build a moat there fair play to them. If they won’t change the law to stop this sort of behaviour then it will take drastic action from a brave council to stop it happening in the area again and again. (which it is)

I hope this is a valid question. When I get car insurance I have to give a permanent address where I live and the postcode is taken into account when charging the premium.

How do travellers get cover for their new Pick ups and 4 x 4s when they have no fixed abode? Is their cover hugely expensive? If they are giving a postcode just to get cover but not living at that address isn’t that insurance fraud?

The car tax law has changed. The offence is no longer not displaying a valid tax disk it is driving a vehicle that is not taxed. It changed when they went to being able to tax your car online in case of postal problems.

What they should change is being able to sell a second hand car with tax on to stop uninsured drivers using the left over amount and not bothering to insure the car.

Yes definitely. A bit of investment in that area would be more than welcome.
