Saxon1ParticipantPlanning Permission Refused at Rhosrobin.
Lets hope Llay have the same outcome when it comes in front of the Planning Committee.
Lets hope our local Councillors support us like in Rhosrobin.
Saxon1ParticipantHi Zinger
Yes we have and so we will be all out in force on Thursday.
We have been knocking on doors and leafletting the area all weekend and so have major support.
Lets hope we get our point across, but you know what we just hope that its not already been sown up !!!
Saxon1ParticipantAlso just read the itinerary for tonights Planning Meeting and agree if you just want a simple extension then its no chance but mass housing estates then thats just fine and dandy. Also reading this massive document it categorically shows the local planning dept really do not consider any objections however small or large, its just a free for all for the big boys, and who cares about local people already living in the vicinity of these sprawling estates. Makes you really suspicious of what is going on in Wrexham Council.
Yes people need houses to live in, has anybody looked at the property pages lately !! Wrexham is awash with property for sale and reduced, reduced, reduced all over the place. What does that that tell you.
Saxon1ParticipantThanks Pinky02 for the information. All of this information will help us in our fight for Llay.
We will be putting all of our points forward at the meeting, so the more information we have the better equipped we can be to fight our cause. We have a right to fight for what we truly feel will be a disaster for the Llay community and so far everybody that we have spoken to feels the same.
Thanks again
Saxon1ParticipantAh ok just assumed that if it was a council owned site they were building as Wrexham Council.
Saxon1ParticipantNot sure if it is a coincidence as the new plan for the Gresford Road site has an allocation of Flats and Housing Association houses which I believe is what they wanted to build on Haywards Field. So all we can assume now is that the council will not have to fund these flats so will not cost them.
All green spaces in Llay should be saved and preserved.
Saxon1ParticipantHello All followers of this forum
I wonder if the developers and planners have approached Wrexham Maelor Hospital to ask their opinion re the extra 1000 plus people. The Maelor is already severely overstretched. Has anybody been to A & E lately ? Waiting times for appointments for certain departments now have a six month plus wait so all the new developments in the Wrexham area generally will all be adding to the strain.
The Welsh NHS is already over budget and is cutting services all over to cope with influxes of new arrivals in the Wrexham area, so where do Wrexham Council consider drawing the line.
Saxon1ParticipantLets hope BenjaminM has put a spanner in the works to any potential builders thinking of building these houses. Telling everybody that Llay has never been top of the most sought after locations. Ummm presume he doesn’t live in Llay unless he would be defending his patch. We have lived in Llay for 30 years and we have never had a days or nights problem living here. The people in Llay are salt of the earth people, from the staff who work in Costcutter, the Chemist, the doctors surgery etc We all use these facilities whichever side of Llay you live and are all treated equally.
No doubt people like you think people living in Llay are somewhat inferior, believe me we are not, and we are certainly not so called Nymbies. We want LLay to stay as it is, as Pinky02 tells it, developers will say one thing and do another and then who cares anyway about Llay !!! if you don’t live there.
Saxon1ParticipantIf only that was the case. Understand this farmer has now bought land elsewhere in Llay so presume he will do the same again to other Llay residents.
Saxon1ParticipantIt seems farmers don’t want to farm anymore, just want to sell
land to make money and don’t care about the area and the impact on the people living there. Presume he will move away from the area into a fine grand house on the proceeds. -
