I can confirm that talk talk & bt are offering fibre optic broadband upto 43 meg from the southsea exchange. If not now, it’s imminent.

Put in a local postcode into talk talk’s availability checker to find out about your area.

Thank you WMBC. They’ve come and chopped down the offending branches, just the ivy to go. I’ve updated the fixmystreetlink above if you’d like to see their handiwork.

Most bad driving hotspots are usually signposted and directions given. I thought that people had to prove a level of compedancy when behind the wheel, it’s called a driving test !!!!!
Most days on the road I see useless drivers making stupid or even dangerous driving antics.
Before people all jump on the boy racers ( of which I do not condone ! ), the worst criminal against the use of bad techniques are the elderly . Sorry, but I wish I had a quid for everything an older person cut me up on a roundabout, Carpark, they don’t discriminate.
Bad drivers are solely to blame for creating bad driving hotspots !!!

Well I have admit, the situation has been addressed so far by WMBC. They’ve sent a guy out to survey what needs doing. He’s outlined what he’ll be addressing, and what he won’t via email. I can’t really complain with the service so far. A pat on the back to WMBC. I only hope the actual ‘business end’ is just as good and the works get done.

I’ve received an email off the council today stating that they are going to look at my parent’s issue. So early days, but I will give credit where it’s due to the council for at least starting the ball rolling .

That’s what I was led to believe, but the ownership of the land seems to be a very contended issue locally.
I believe all local avenues of finding ownership have been tried.
I bet if I was to trim back the trees myself, someone would prosecute me. Only then would we find out the real owner.

Also the one way warning sign by the junction with the old walnut pub shows the one way starts from the junction with the old fitness place car park, not junction with main road. Maybe all the council staff who use that car park complained!

Lol, many a true word is said in jest !

Thanks for the clarification of my question.

G4s , Community Support officers ……….does no one now have a local Bobby ?

    Where is the progress ?

And finally, what ‘powers’ does this G4s response vehicle / staff have in civvy street ?

That’s quite in unnerving. Children are told to look for this type of vehicle for safety. Also, do you have to give way to this vehicle on the road when it’s lights are flashing ? Answers required me thinks.
