Frankly it does not suprise me that the poundshop Donald Trump from Rhostyllen and his baying excuse for a envioronment member are on a rant. Do the Guildhall carpark and get the officers to respond. Where the hell does Pritchard think he would be without grant funding…like Boris Johnson but without a bloody O level.
The simple fact is not just speed its poor driving and aggression. I was a firefighter in a station who regularly attended calls at Pontblyddyn, it was our patch. Some were tragic and my heart goes out to those involved. But my point would be, if you can take 14 ton of Fire Appliance through the bends at 50 plus mph, and take any bend on old dual section at 70mph with 400 gallons of water onboard, is it the road? albeit the road was not the best I feel we are dumbing down peoples thinking skills and making some feel invincible in the traction controlled, airbag/SIPS, ABS metal box we sit in. This is in no way intended to denigrate any person who has been killed or injured on this section, but as this weeks case showed it was impatient, inexperienced and downright selfish driving that killed 2 innocent souls.
Agree 100% with you BenjaminM. I stopped on one occasion to assist a fitting man outside Gerrards on Lord St, people watching him including shop staff judging him, and as the incident went on questioning my ability, eg “put him in recovery postion if you know it”. last thing then fitting, result would be eating concrete. 2 young ladies one a nurse stopped to help. Guy was having a drink related fit. Unfortunately Wrexham is rife with tutters and pass the buck people now. Fact, Island Green has private litter pickers, security and parking. Town Centre is plagued by Drunks and Drugusers at all times, Night time you expect it, but drunks with knives at 9.45 in morming? They hang around parks too and the bus station. A collegue of mine was subjected to abusive sexual comments at 7.30 in morning on Sunday. CCTV? PCSOs? My bloody Ar**. Inspector Beasley had a grip on this as did John “Robocop” as he was known. The spindoctors of NWP want to hang heads in shame, Put all the plod on Olympic duties in Wrexham, Rhyl, Bangor etc for a week at a time. CLEAN THINGS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
